Jambiani beach, East Coast, Zanzibar

A woman waits, hoping for fish
Fishermen arriving, framed by an ngalawa on the beach named "Fight For Life"
A half filled sack is weighed at the seaweed buying station. Jambiani has had poor harvests for several months.
Sardines are quickly distributed - I'm told the going rate is $30 a bucket

Kiteboarding at Paje, East Coast, Zanzibar

Ok, not a brilliant photo - but nonetheless a very exciting view of kiteboarding at Paje - I tried counting and concluded there were approx 100 kites - ie a 100 surfers in the water at one time.

The windy season attracts kiteboarders from all around the world.
