Kizimkazi Mkunguni village celebrates Maulid (Prophet's birthday)

Munira makes bread (Kizimkazi)

I met Munira in the village, she had just bought some flour and oil to make bread. "Come back to ours", she said.

1.5kg of flour makes dough enough for 40 pieces

The dough is rolled between palms and arrange into coils

To see the next stage you have to jump forward in time to my blog entry in September Munira bakes bread (Kizimkazi)
