Kizimkazi portraits

The day before, Munira said "if I'd known you were coming I would have baked a cake"... of course I returned the next day and there it was waiting. I asked if she had made it with love? she said "no, cardamom"

Kizimkazi beach + boys

Kizimkazi Dimbani beach - nowadays local fishermen prefer fibre boats (imported from Dubai)

Seasonal fishermen (from north Zanzibar) using a traditional dugout "dao" (rhymes with "cow")
and attracting the interest of local children
